Etwinada Falls trail will make any nature enthusiast fall in love with California’s landscapes, offering picturesque views and opportunities to learn and explore. This easy 2.8-mile hike is perfect for all types of hikers and has something to offer for those with every skill level. The easy access trail through Cucamonga and along the rocky terrain features three stunning waterfalls and a seasonal creek, making the best photo ops. You can also find the old water pipes once used to irrigate surrounding crops. But traffic can be tough on the roads into and around Mount Baldy, so we recommend having a charter bus rental with an driver to handle the logistics of getting there and navigating a route. If you’re looking for an easy day of taking photos with scenic views, opt for a short, easy half-mile stroll along the Etiwanda Trail to see Etiwanda Falls. If your group is more adventurous and has experienced hikers and campers, plan a day exploring the preserve’s 10 miles of trails through canyons, and to the summit of Day Canyon’s 4,000-foot peak. Reserve your shuttle bus rental and your driver will drop you off on the northwest edge of Etiwanda Avenue, making it even simpler for everyone to hit the trails without having to worry about finding parking near the trailhead.

Mount Rubidoux Trail

At the top of this mountain in Riverside city lies one of the area’s most beloved hiking trails. The Mount Rubidoux Trail spans the height of 500 feet across three miles and passes by attractions such as the historic U.S. National Landmark World Peace Bridge and even the actual gravesite of Frank Miller. Although this may seem like an odd or morbid thing to visit, the grave serves as a reminder of Miller’s role in the building and preserving of Riverside, with the nearby cemetery serving as a space for the founder to observe and look after what he once held dear.

California Citrus State Historic Park

When we say that California is a place of many citrus lovers, we are not kidding. With plenty of opportunities to eat locally-grown fruit, visitors and locals can pick out their favorites among lemons, grapefruits, limes, oranges and more, or even visit different museums to learn about the history of citrus in the area! Plan to drive across the 10-mile Clinton Keith Road from its eastern end, off Cajalco Road and through Murrieta and Tenaja before finding your way to the reserve entrance and its visitor parking.

San Bernardino County Museum

The San Bernardino County Museum will take history fans through the region’s cultural heritage over the last 11,000+ years. The museums collection hosts millions of objects, photographs, books, specimens and more, to bring the past to life. Explore Hall of Geological Wonders to learn about the formation of geologic formations in the area, like the San Andreas fault and nearby Death Valley, and marvel at specimens and gems of quartz and gold found locally.

Your group will also get a glimpse of human civilization in the Hall of History and Anthropology, showcasing items such as the fossilized remains of an extinct species of camel and arrow points fashioned by hunters and gatherers in the Pleistocene.
